How far is Porta Hotel Antigua from the airport?
We are approximately 50 minutes away from La Aurora International Airport (GUA). Sometimes it takes more time due to traffic specially at rush hours.
How much does it cost for an airport transfer?
The extra charge for transfer to/from the airport is US$60 per one or two persons and US$20, per each additional person. Two children under 10 years old come for free
How could I reserve an airport transfer?
Just send us your flight details (airline name and expected arrival time)
How can I find a booked airport transfer?
The driver will be showing a sign with your name at airport exit and lead you to a private car

How much does it cost to stay in a hotel in Antigua Guatemala?

Can I rent a car at the hotel or nearby?
You can rent a car from one of the local car-rental specialists; we do not offer a counter with this service at the hotel

Yes, the hotel is located three blocks south from La Antigua Guatemala Central Park
Is the pool opened? If so, at what times?
Following governments guidelines and regulations, access to the pool has been limited due to COVID-19 and you could use it respecting social distance with other people outside your partners. These guidelines are subject to change and we will update accordingly
Are the pools heated?
Yes, our pools are heated. We use primarily, solar energy with this purpose
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
There is a minimum stay during the New Year’s Eve and Holly Week. Some packages also require a minimum stay.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, we have some rooms where we accept one pet; guest must accept and sign pet’s regulation, and you could check it clicking here. Daily charge for pet is US$25 and includes bed, drinker and a plate for food
Are there other restaurants nearby? If so, how far?
Yes, you could find many restaurants within walking distance
How many restaurants are there at Porta Hotel Antigua?
We have only one restaurant, Los Moros. You can check the menu clicking here
What time is the Restaurant opened?
Los Moros Restaurant is opened from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, daily. Due to COVID-19 this schedule may vary; please check it at Front Desk
Is breakfast included in the price?
No, our rates do not include breakfast, but you can add it with an extra charge at the enhancement section or order it when staying at the hotel
Is there a buffet available?
Nowadays our buffets are assisted; it means that you can see the food in the line and ask to our staff to serve it in your plate. You cannot serve the meal by yourself.
Is room service available? If so, at what times?
Yes, room service is available from 7am to 9pm
Is it possible to receive gluten-free or any diet food?
Yes, this can be arranged with our Maitre at the hotel
Do your room feature air conditioning?
Yes, most of our rooms feature air conditioning but all have ceiling fan
Check-in time is after 3pm. Let us know your arrival time in case you need an early check-in; we will do our best to have your room available but if it is definitively not possible due to our availability, we will receive your luggage until check-in time and parking can be used at no additional charge
Check-out time is before 1pm. Late checkout may be arranged for an additional fee although it is subject to the following day's reservation status. The amount of the additional fee varies by room type and the checkout time. Please contact the hotel if you wish to use this service.
Is Reception open 24 hours?
Yes, Reception service is available 24 hours.

Can I leave my luggage?
Yes, we can look after your luggage. If at check-in your room is not ready yet or in case of late check-out, we will store your luggage free of charge
A wireless internet connection is available throughout the hotel, free of charge with a standard speed. If you need high-speed, please ask to our Concierge and we will provide it, with an extra charge
When were the rooms last refurbished?
Our rooms have very recently been partially renovated in 2019
Do you have smoking and non-smoking rooms?
All our rooms and the entire property are non-smoking
Do you have rooms that have services for those with disabilities?
Yes, we have some rooms with wide doors, tall toilet, hand shower, located at executive area, crossing the street in front of main building. All our rooms have grab bars in the shower
Do the bathrooms have baths or showers?
Most of the rooms have shower. The bath tub is available in some Premium rooms and Suites
Is there parking for vehicles?
Our hotel has private parking. It is located two blocks south, but we offer free transportation to / from the parking lot as many times as necessary, in an electric mini bus
How much does parking cost?
The car park is free for our guests
Is the parking lot guarded?
Yes, our parking lot has security
How far in advance do I have to book?
As soon as you have planned your trip! We sometimes have last-minute availability, but in general the earlier you book, the lower the room rate
Are the prices quoted per room or per person?
The prices quoted are always per room, is always important to check for the most comfortable type of room

Will I get the room on the photograph, and do the rooms correspond to those in the photographs?
We cannot guarantee that you will get the exact same room, but the rooms photos are real
Can I request a specific location for my room?
Your preferences will be conveyed to the Front Desk, who will attempt to satisfy you, but we cannot make any guarantees. You could book your room following this guide:

Do children stay for free?
Yes, we accept up to two children up to the age of 11 stay for free, accompanied by an adult minimum
Is it possible to have a cot/child’s bed in the room? If so, at what price?
Yes, cots are free and additional beds are available at an extra cost of US$25 per night
When do I need to pay for the accommodation?
Payment of any outstanding balance is made when you check out, but payment must be guaranteed when you check in, unless agreed otherwise on the basis of the applicable rates. Non-refundable rates must be paid when booking
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club cards
Is use of the Spa included in the price?
No, Spa services are paid separately, depending on your preferences. You can check our services clicking here
Is the Gym opened?
Yes, it is opened from 6am to 8pm but it’s necessary to make an appointment to maintain social distance and services are limited
Is there safety box at the rooms?
Yes, all rooms have safety box large enough for a laptop
How often are sheets and towels changed during my stay?
Bed sheets and towels are changed as needed, preferably every two days to preserve water and avoid detergent waste
Can a mini-fridge be rented?

Is it possible to arrange a tour?

If I change the date of my stay, will this affect the price?
Yes, you should check daily rates to be sure and accept changes
Is there an exchange office at the Front Desk?
No, but we can change money at Front Desk with limited amount
What measures are you taking to stop the COVID-19?
